Cooking
is something that we truly love to do together. The kitchen is the
busiest room in our home; that is where we entertain our friends
and always where our family gathers.
Our time and our
lives are surrounded with family. We have five daughters and one
son and on February 8, 2008 our eleventh grandchild was born. Our
children are our greatest supporters and have taken an active part
whenever needed to help us start our business. We are truly
blessed!
Cookie was the
first word that our first granddaughter said to her Pa-pa, and now
we have five granddaughters and six grandsons and they get all the
cookies they want. Their parents aren't too proud of that, but we
feel that is a grandparent thing!
Most of our
cooking skills came from mothers, grandparents and aunts, neither
of us have ever had a cooking class. Just good ole' home cooking!
It just seems to come naturally.
I was born and
raised in Greenville, Texas and Don moved here in 1977, so we know
a lot of the residents in the area and they have been fantastic to
help us get our business off to an amazing start.
So, when it came
time for us to retire, we just naturally turned to cooking and
decided to start a catering business. Hence, that is how The Cup &
Saucer got started.
All of our foods
are home cooked in the kitchen of The Cup & Saucer and we take
great pride in taste and presentation of every one of our catering
events.
